Join a small team of volunteers and travel to a stream or stretch of the River. You’ll be in the field for a couple hours helping  experienced researchers collect stoneflies, figure out what makes stream healthy or unhealthy, and understand how river ecology works.

Children are welcome to attend but each one must be attended by an adult.

WHEN: Our next Stonefly Search will be late January 2014. Please register as a first time volunteer or add your email in the upper right to receive updates.

WHERE:  Start at the NEW Center, 1100 N. Main Street, Ann Arbor, and then go out to 2 stream sites somewhere in Livingston, Oakland, and Washtenaw Counties.

WHEN:  Saturday, January 25, 2014, but you must register . There are 2 starting times: 10:30 am or 12:00 noon. Takes 4 – 5 hours, only part of that outdoors.

DEADLINE: Register by January 21, 2014.
